María José is a 300Hr Jivamukti Yoga teacher and was introduced to Iyengar Yoga back in 2008 while also doing contemporary dance. She was studying textile design at the time when her mom took her to her first Jivamukti Yoga class with Paloma Baker and she fell in love with the method because it involved not only physical practice but mantra meditation and music during the flow which made the experience atomically blissful. Always with a curious mind about the effects of meditation within consciousness and the intangible she began reading and practicing more, which lead her to finally decide to embark on becoming a teacher herself and that way share the magic of yoga.
She did her 300Hr Jivamukti Yoga Teacher training in Salento, Italy with facilitators Yogeswari and Emma Henry on October 2021. She aspires to inspire people on their own journey, although it is personal path for everyone, she hopes to remind them in each class to show up, be present, relax and of course to have fun!
Her classes are dynamic, inspiring, fun and challenging.
