My first encounter with Jivamukti Yoga was in 2011 when I was living in New York. From the very first day, the practice captivated me. I began memorizing the classes and chants so that I could practice on my own when I was traveling or back in Spain, as at that time it wasn’t easy to find Jivamukti classes in Spain, let alone in the Canary Islands. Over the years, I started attending classes up to twice a day. Five years later, my teacher Rima Rabbath asked me if I was interested in training to become a teacher. She had never asked me this before, but I felt that I wanted to bring this practice to my island, as it had brought me back to life. In 2017, after five years of intense practice, I completed my 300-hour Jivamukti training in Costa Rica. In 2018, I moved to Barcelona to continue with the 80-hour Jivamukti Apprenticeship with my mentor María Macaya. After that, I began teaching classes in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. I also continued to do more training with other teachers, such as Sebastián Arbondo, and completed small courses in Rocket Yoga, a 200-hour Vinyasa training at Pure Yoga Gran Canaria, and 50 hours of Yin Yoga. In 2021, I opened my own school, "Distrito 841," with the goal of sharing the teachings at more accessible times for the students I had at that time. Three years later, I decided to close the school and leave the island. Today, my intention is to continue sharing the key that helped me reconnect with myself and take the course of life in a more conscious, compassionate, and above all, honest way.
